Bree Runway at the Echoplex in Los Angeles
05/17/2022 .
The white stage lights dimmed and flickered where Bree Runway’s drummer and guitarist’s introductory riff to the sold out show played as they anticipated for everyone to get loud. The audience immediately screamed watching Bree Runway emerge center stage. They screamed even louder when she opened with “APESHIT” booming through the speakers leading into “Little Nokia”. Dressed in a black leather bustier and shorts which dangled chain-like tassels among her ripped fishnets, Bree’s charisma and stage presence mark her signature energy and sound.
Bree Runway performed in a sold out show at the Echoplex on Glendale Boulevard, May 17th. The indie music venue is a larger extension to The Echo hidden behind Reservoir Tattoo Studio in Echo Park and holds a maximum capacity of 780 people.
Runway's confidence is seamless and fans ruminate off of it. The crowd danced where Runway pointed it was, “giving sexual luxury and fashion” whilst she delivered more songs off her mixtape.
The British singer and rapper transcends all genres blending rock, trap, dance pop, hip-hop, and doesn’t place herself inside of a specific genre or box. Her musical versatility goes hand in hand with her fashionable and visual iconography she crafts in each music video, influenced by MTV and artists Missy Elliott and Lady Gaga.
She signed under Universal Music Group in 2018 and released her mixtape "2000AND4EVA," in 2020, included on the show's set-list along with recent singles “Pressure,” and 80’s pop inspired ballad “Somebody Like You.”
