February is Black History Month, and there is no better time to recognize and celebrate Black artists. Today's feature is M.A.G.S. M.A.G.S is the stage name for Elliott Douglas, a multi-faceted artist who writes, produces, and performs all his own music. Raw and honest, his music ranges from angsty love songs to nostalgic rock music. Smith writes music fitting for a modern coming of age film. The gritty guitar coupled with his bare voice feel fitting for a surf trip, as seen on such songs "Wait" and "Demon." Other of his songs like "Staircase" and "Beachlove" are slower and reflect on childhood, adulthood, love, and all the other things in between. His range allows for listening whenever, wherever.
M.A.G.S recently toured around the United States with indie band The Happy Fits. Below is Elliot Smith mid-performance.
