Just weeks after "When We Were Young Festival" swooned us with an extensive lineup featuring 60+ emo and alternative rock acts, the inaugural "Emo's Not Dead" cruise announced that it will cash in on 2022's nostalgia-driven gold mine. For the first time since the early 2010s, emo is in.
Along with headliners Underoath and Dashboard Confessional, also featured on the cruise are New Found Glory, Plain White T's, Hawthorne Heights, and several other mid-2000s alternative artists guaranteed to transport audiences back to high school, middle school, and beyond. The Emo's Not Dead Cruise joins When We Were Young Fesivalt and other throwback events (such as Emo Nite) in what has become a modern-day alt-rock renaissance.
As the generation that grew up on 3rd wave emo and pop punk comes of age, we're certain to see more of these events come to light, with the Emo's Not Dead Cruise being 2022's latest iteration of angst-tinged nostalgia. The four-day cruise will depart from Los Angeles on November 8th, 2022 before sailing to Ensanada, Mexico and returning on November 12th. Tickets range from $620 per person on for a four-guest cabin to a $5,871 per person stay in the "Owner's Suite".
